The '''{{PAGENAME}}''', often referred to as '''GWD''', is home to four Emps Gods and [[Nex]]. These high level [[Monsters#Bosses|bosses]] are often slain for their high tier god wars armour/weapons drops.

The dungeon can be reached by using the [[Trollheim teleport]] and subsequently descending the mountain towards the {{PAGENAME}}. There are a number of paths that lead to the {{PAGENAME}}, but perhaps the fastest path is marked on the figure to the right. You should watch out for aggressive [[trolls]] on your way down. The [[Ferocious ring]] and [[GWD tablet]]s can be used to teleport directly to the GWD entrance. The dungeon can be entered by clicking on the big icy rock between the [[Ice wolf|Ice wolves]].

The {{PAGENAME}} consists of two layers. The upper layer is made up of a central battlefield, where minions of the four Emps Gods slaughter each other (hence the name of the dungeon), around which four rooms are located, each housing one Emps God's champion and various minions. These champions can be fought in a boss room. You will have to kill 10 minions of an Emps God before you can enter the boss room and fight that God's champion, or you will need a player with 10 kc to open the door for you. Minions of an Emps God will not be aggressive towards you if you are wearing an item of that Emps God. Additionally, wearing a [[Pernix armour|Pernix]], [[Torva armour|Torva]] or [[Virtus armour]] piece makes minions of every Emps God passive towards you. However, in a boss room, the Emps God's champion and his three minions will always be aggressive towards players. Every boss room holds an altar, which allows you to teleport away (to the GWD main entrance) at any point during the fight and to restore your [[prayer]] points every 5 minutes.

Underneath the upper layer lies the Ancient Prison, home to the powerful creature [[Nex]]. Contrary to the Emps God's boss rooms, Nex's boss room does not require a killcount of 10 to enter and doesn't hold an altar.

Armadyl's Eyrie is located in the south-western part of the GWD. It requires 58 [[Agility]] to enter. Wearing an [[Item of Armadyl]] makes Armadyl's minions passive towards you.

==Bandos' Stronghold==
Bandos' Stronghold is located in the north-western part of the GWD. It requires a [[hammer]] in the inventory to enter. Players who forgot a hammer can find one close to the door to the Stronghold and another one close to the water. Wearing an [[Item of Bandos]] makes Bandos' minions passive towards you.

Zamorak's Fortress is located in the north-eastern part of the GWD. It can be entered by jumping across the broken ice bridge. This doesn't require a particular [[Agility]] level. Wearing an [[Item of Zamorak]] makes Zamorak' minions passive towards you.

==Ancient Prison (bottom layer)==
The Ancient Prison can be accessed by descending the rope behind the frozen door, which is located in the souther part of the GWD, in between Armadyl's Eyrie and Saradomin's Encampment. This doesn't require a particular agility level. However, at the bottom of the rope, there is an obstacle pipe that requires 70 [[Agility]] to pass. In order to reach [[Nex]]'s boss room, you will have to pass [[Blood reaver]]s and [[Ancient creatures]]. The latter are aggressive towards you, unless you are wearing the full [[Ancient ceremonial robes]] set or a [[Pernix armour|Pernix]], [[Torva armour|Torva]] or [[Virtus armour]] piece.
