Double XP Weekends was announced on the 26th of March 2015 and removed as of the 13th of May 2016.
The amount of online players during the mid-week were decreasing enormously. As Thomy quoted: We don't want to force people to play during special times and make it feel like a waste if they train outside of the weekends.
The replacement for the double experience weekends is the double experience scroll , which can be bought from bolkoy for 150 emps credits,when activated it grants 1 hour of real-time double xp
