The Black kiteshield requires a Defence level of 10 to wear. It can be obtained as a drop from various Monsters. It cannot be made by using the Smithing skill.

The black kiteshield provides the same stats as the Black sq shield, they just look different. There is no difference in stats between Black, Black (t) or Black (g) armour.
