Regular Ironman mode

(regular) Ironman is a style of gameplay on Emps-World that allows you to play the game with certain restrictions to make the game more difficult, and for some more enjoyable.

The restrictions placed on an Ironman account include:

Inability to Trade items with any other players (excluding Member tickets, GA tickets, Name change tokens and Double xp scrolls)
Inability to pick up drops left on the ground by other players
Inability to stake items against any other players (excluding Member tickets, GA tickets and double xp scrolls)
Inability to access the Grand exchange, meaning they cannot buy or sell any items from/to other players (excluding Member tickets, GA tickets and double xp scrolls)

To begin Ironman mode on Emps-World, speak to the Quest Guide on Tutorial Island before you leave, and choose the "Make Ironman" choice. This will start you on a gameplay mode that is uniquely difficult and challenging.

Hardcore Ironman mode (HCIM)

Hardcore ironman is another style of playing ironman where players only have one life, in addition to the standard restrictions given to all ironmen. If a Hardcore Ironman dies, they will be converted to a standard ironman. Furthermore, their experience and total level on the Hardcore Ironman highscore table will be locked.

Ultimate Ironman mode (UIM)

Ultimate ironman is another ironman mode where players are prohibited from accessing a bank. In addition to the standard restrictions given to all ironmen. However, they are still able to use noted items on bank booths, chests and bankers to unnote their items.

Group Ironman mode (GIM)

Group ironman is another ironman mode where players are able to trade items with other group ironmen if they are in the same group. Group ironman members can only join a group on Tutorial island. Make sure everybody gets online and joins their group on Tutorial Island before heading out. Should a group ironman group become inactive there is the option to join another group by using a Group change token

Trivia

Both Hardcore Ironman and Ultimate Ironman mode were released on the 14th of Januray, 2020.
Group Ironman was released on the 19th of December, 2020.
The player "Rotanas" was the first player in Emps-World to achieve Max Experience in all Skills while playing on Ironman mode.
