The Wilderness is one of the main places where users and NPCs of various types can be found.
It is also one of the only areas where players can (almost) freely attack other players (PvP). Because of this feature the area is very dangerous and most players should avoid it if they have nothing to do there.

Players need to jump over a wall to the north of Emps-World to enter the Wilderness. It does not require any level of Agility. The most used place to enter the Wilderness is Edgeville, just north of Barbarian village. Many Ancient spellbook teleports also lead to different places in the Wilderness, and Kolodion in Edgeville can teleport you to the Mage arena in the Wilderness.

In the Wilderness there are depths of levels where users are able to attack players of a combat level that is within the level range. As an example; if your combat level is 3, and you enter 'level 1' of the Wilderness, anyone a level below, the same level, and one level higher, may be able to attack you. If you continue to move north the level of the area will increase, also increasing the range of players that may be able to attack you.

When entering or going into the Wilderness, there's also many other activities to engage in besides PvP. A Dungeons referred to as the Revenant Dungeon was added behind the Black knights' castle in level 17-19 of the Wilderness.

There's also an NPCs named the Ghost Captain that can teleport you to the Dagannoth cave, where Dagannoths can be killed. In an upcoming update, there will also be a release of the Dagannoth Kings.

If you continue deeper into the Wilderness there are also other NPCs you may find that can also be assigned by a Slayer Master to kill for training your Slayer skill. Slayer monsters like Shades, Zombies, Green dragons and Ghosts can be found throughout the Wilderness.

You might also find very strong monsters within the Wilderness that can be killed for valuable resources and unique rare items. The Chaos Elemental and Wildy wyrms are an example of these. The entrance to the Revenant dungeon can also be found in the Wilderness, near the Black knights' fortress. Players can enter this dungeon and kill Revenants for good loot aswell.

Players may also use Wilderness Obelisk to get around through deep levels of the Wilderness very fast, or to escape from nearby danger or engaged combat.*CURRENTLY DISABLED*
