When drinking a Defence potion your Defence level will be temporarily increased by 10%. The boost will gradually wear out and your defence level will return to its original level. Defence potions are often used when doing PvM by lower level players because they decrease the accuracy of your foe. High level players or players doing PvP will prefer to use Super defence potions over defence potions.
Defence potions can be made by combining white berries and a Ranarr potion (unf). This requires a Herblore level of 26 and will grant 375 experience.
