Gems can be obtained in several ways: dropped by certain Monsters, mined from the Shooting star distraction, by stealing from a gem stall or by mining Gem rocks (up to dragonstone only, no Opals) at the Island of Neitiznot.
A gem requires a certain Crafting level, a Chisel and active membership to cut. All gems can be cut twice (except opal), giving the same crafting experience again, to be cut into 15 bolttips.
