The Rune hasta requires an Attack level of 60 to wield. It can only be obtained as a rare drop from the Smoke Demon Champion. It cannot be purchased from a store or made by using the Smithing skill.

The Rune hasta is a one handed melee weapon, similar to the spear. Although Hastae offer no defensive bonuses, the fact that they can be used with a Shield provides more defence than a normal spear. The Rune hasta is the strongest Rune weapon in the game.
