The Black platelegs require a Defence level of 10 to wear. It can be obtained as a drop from Black knights. It can also be purchased for 2,213 coins in the Armour shop in Barbarian village and Al-Kharid. It cannot be made by using the Smithing skill.

There is no difference in stats between Black, Black (t) or Black (g) armour. The Black platelegs provide the same stats as the Black plateskirt, they just look different.
