Promethium gauntlets is a drop from Lucien Van Rot and his minions in the Rot cave. It requires level 85 Defence and level 85 Strength to wield. As with other Promethium items, it reduces the effects of rot by 10% (for a total of 50% when fully geared with Promethium equipment items). The Promethium gauntlets can be made by using the smithing skill, requiring 3 Promethium bar and grants you 2,280 smithing XP. However, 91 smithing is required.The Promethium gauntlets is degradable and has up to 25 hours of combat time. Promethium gauntlets cannot be repaired by Bob or any repair benchs. It can only be repaired by using a Promethium bar on the equipment. A single bar will repair the Promethium gauntlets in its integritty no matter how much combat time is left. However, if Promethium gauntlets's timer reach 0, it will transform into a single Promethium ore and you will loose your item.
