You can upgrade to the Abyssal staff (thunder) by using a Thunder crystal on an Abyssal staff, thus increasing the magic accuracy to +100 and the magic requirement to level 80, but making it degradable after 30000 hits into the original Abyssal staff or the Thunder crystal.
This process cannot be undone, and the Thunder abyssal staff is not tradable, cannot be dropped and cannot be disassembled!
