The Dwarven Invention quest can be started by talking to Doric. He can be found in a small hut north of falador, just in front of the gates of Taverley.

Doric will say that he is working on a little project. He will be denying all sort of help from you unless you accept to be the guinea pig. From that point, he will ask you to go see Klank. He can be found in a tall tower just north east of Doric's hut. He borrowed his toolkit few weeks ago and Doric needs it to start working.

There is no door to access the tower. However, when players approach its walls, Klank will offer you to get you up there to talk to him. Once in the tower, simply talk to him and he will give you the toolkit.

Once player has brought back the toolkit to Doric, he will ask for 1 void energy, a green power crystal, a blue power crystal and a red power crystal.

Green power crystall

The green power crystal can be found in the Goblin village. By interrogating General Bentnoze, he will suggest you to go ask Grubfoot located in the basement.

Even thought Grubfoot deny having the green power crystal in his possession, he will look suspicious. Investigating the cauldron in the middle of the basement will grant you the green power crystal.

Blue power crystal

The blue power crystal can be found by killing the Mutated dwarf in the south west corner of the dwarven mines.

Red power crystal

The red power crystal is inside a chest locked behind a door which can only be opened upon answer a riddle correctly. Perhaps some dwarf inside the mine could help to figure the answers to the riddle?

Toolbelt Fabrication

Once all the components are brought back to Doric, players will have access to the various upgrades of the toolbelt. To be able to use it, players will need 32 blacksmith energy and 8 iron nails to make it a level 1 toolbelt.

Ending

After bringing all the components to Doric and upgrading it to level 1, players will have be able to use it and the quest will be considered completed. This toolbelt can be upgraded up to level 10 by talking to Doric with the help of various energies and items.

Reward

The completion of the Dwarven Invention quest will grant players the ability to use the toolbelt and to upgrade it.
