A Gold bar can be created through the use of smithing. This is done by using gold ore with a furnace, granting you 22 smithing experience, this action requires level 40 smithing. However, it doesn't has a level requirement by using the superheat Item spell instead of a furnace, this will grant 22 smithing experience and an additional 173 magic experience.

Gold bars are used to create various jewelry with the crafting skill. To craft jewelry the player must use a gold bar with a furnace along with its respective mould. You need to smelt with a cut gem for any jewelry you want to make.
