Promethium pickaxe is a drop from Lucien Van Rot and his minions in the Rot cave. It requires level 85 Strength, 80 Attack and level 71 Mining to wield. However, the pickaxes can be used from the inventory to mine with, if the player does not have the required combat levels to equip it. As with other Promethium items, it reduces the effects of rot by 10% (for a total of 50% when fully geared with Promethium equipment items). The Promethium pickaxe can be made by using the smithing skill, requiring 3 Promethium bars and grants you 2,280 smithing XP. However, 89 smithing is required.
