Rune bolts can be obtained as a drop from Aquanites or by attatching feathers to Rune bolts (unf), this requires 90 Fletching level and grants 148 Fletching experience. They can be further upgraded by attaching Dragon bolt tips or Onyx bolt tips to create Dragon bolts or Onyx bolts. These can then be enchanted for special combat effects.
Rune bolts can be used with a crossbow and give +86 ranging strength.
