With Mining players can obtain raw materials that can be further refined with Smithing, ultimately making armour or weapons out of the ores.
In Emps-World you receive two ores for each rock you mine. Experience calculated for mining is for each 2 ores that you mine. The higher the difference is between the required mining level and your own mining level, the faster you will mine the rock.
Pickaxes
You will need a pickaxe to start off with, and there are several classes of pickaxes ingame, up to the Dragon pickaxe. Most pickaxes can be bought from the guy in the Falador furnace, or from Flynn's pickaxe store. The Dragon pickaxe can be obtained for 10k Stardust from the Shooting star distraction and diversion.
Pickaxes can be used from the inventory to mine with, but you can also equip them, saving one inventory space. This requires a certain Attack level though.
Click on a minable rock while having a pickaxe in your inventory to start mining with.

Ores
Rocks to mine ores from can be found at many locations in Emps-World. The most common places are the Rune essence mine and the Falador mining dungeon, which contains all types of rock. You can mine gems of all kinds (sapphire to onyx) at the Island of Neitiznot. You can only reach the gem rocks if you are member and have a decent Agility level.
Click on the name of the ore to know more about it, like where to find it.
